D-mode is an electronically-controlled engine performance system. This model has three modes: “SPORT”, “TRAIL” and “CRAWL”. Select the mode by turning the D-mode knob according to the terrain and driving conditions.

  • Confirm what mode is selected before starting off.
  • Before changing the D-mode, be sure to stop the vehicle and take your foot off the accelerator pedal.
Mode “TRAIL”

Mode “TRAIL” offers smooth acceleration, linear engine response and strong engine braking. This mode is suitable for driving on tight trails or general driving.

Mode “SPORT”

Mode “SPORT” offers stronger acceleration, quicker engine response and smoother engine braking compared to mode “TRAIL”. This mode is suitable for high-speed driving on wide open trails or dunes.

Mode “CRAWL”

Mode “CRAWL” offers the most gentle engine response. This mode is suitable for situations that require sensitive throttle operation, such as rock crawling or muddy trails.

When the Speed Management System switch is set to the “SBL00582.png” (on) position, the D-mode function is deactivated.
