Speed Management System

This model is equipped with a Speed Management System. When the Speed Management System switch is set to the “SBL00582.png” position, the vehicle’s top speed is limited to approximately 40 km/h (25 mph). WARNING! This system works via the electronic throttle valve and cannot slow the vehicle. Use the brakes to slow the vehicle.

To limit vehicle top speed

  1. Turn the main switch to “SBL00259.png” (off).

  2. Remove the hood. (See page .)

  3. Insert the system key into the Speed Management System switch and turn it to “SBL00582.png”.

  4. Remove the system key.

  5. Install the hood.

  6. Turn the main switch to “SBL00258.png” (on) and confirm that the speed management icon comes on. (See page .)

The main switch must be turned to “SBL00259.png” (off) and then back to “SBL00258.png” (on) before Speed Management System changes are recognized by the vehicle.

Before using the system key, stop the engine.

Remove the system key immediately after use, otherwise the switch may change positions when driving over bumpy roads or fall out and be lost.
